Special Counsel is currently seeking a Temporary Litigation Paralegal for a corporate client in North Austin, TX. Our client is an established Austin corporation and is seeking a temporary/contract paralegal for an open-ended position!
Responsibilities of Litigation Paralegal Job:

  • Assist in-house litigation counsel in organizing and maintaining discovery records
  • Assist with case management (calendaring, arranging depositions, etc.)
  • Assist with discovery requests and work with eDiscovery software; litigation hold
  • Prepare witness lists, exhibits and trial notebooks
  • Review legal documents to ensure proper format and all necessary related documents for court acceptance

Qualifications of Litigation Paralegal Job

  • 2+ years’ experience; experience handling discovery responses/records is required
  • College degree and/or paralegal certificate
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail
  • Professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Comfortable with client contact
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Motivated and an independent worker
