Special Counsel is seeking a contract-to-hire Workers' Compensation Paralegal to support a well-established law firm in Raleigh, NC. This position is an incredible opportunity for candidates interested in breaking into the legal field!
 
Responsibilities:

  • Draft IC Forms, including Form 24 Application to Terminate Benefits
  • Prepare Medical Chronologies and Plaintiff Personnel File Chronologies
  • Prepare Case Status Reports
  • Index of pleadings, discovery and other file materials
  • Draft Response to Motions, Discovery Requests and Responses
  • Schedule mediations/depositions
  • Prepare deposition notices
  • Summarize Depositions and Discovery Responses
  • Trial Preparation including Witness Lists and Exhibits

 
Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree
  • Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn personality
  • Immediate availability
