Downtown Cleveland law firm is looking for an Immigration Legal Secretary to assist attorneys with the preparation of various employment and family based immigration matters including, but not limited to:

  • Professionals seeking temporary visas including H-1B petitions, TN visas, alien labor certifications, and outstanding researcher petitions
  • Applications for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility
  • Waivers of the J-1 two year home residency requirement for international medical graduates
  • Residents seeking Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals
  • Lawful Permanent Residents applying for U.S. Citizenship
  • Specialized visa applications for professionals seeking employment outside of the U.S.

Assist in office operations:

  • Answering phones & schedulingCorrespondence
  • Filing
  • Billing


  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Digital Dictation and strong typing skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) is necessary
  • Teamwork
  • Immigration experience is a plus
