Job Responsibilities:
• All aspects of trial preparation
• Taking and defending depositions
• Attending and arguing hearings in both state and Federal court
• Knowledge of all relevant law
• Writing pre-trial and trial motions
• Includes employer-side discrimination litigation, wage and hour class actions, drafting EEOC/DFEH position statements, conducting witness interviews, preparing employment and severance agreements
• At least two years of employment law litigation and client counseling experience required
• Experience in all phases of employment litigation from inception to trial, including trial preparation, depositions, and motion hearings in both state and Federal court required
• Excellent research and writing skills required
• Experience in counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance, drafting workplace policies, assisting clients with employment training programs, traditional labor and non-competition litigation experience preferred
• Large law firm experience preferred
