Our NY office is currently looking for bright, talented Legal Desktop Support Specialists for potential upcoming assignments with top NY law firms! This is an excellent opportunity to get solid experience with a growing IT team. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm, this is a great opportunity to join a prestigious NYC law firm.
Legal Desktop Support Specialist Responsibilities:

  • This position will be the primary support of multiple users for the NYC office; will report directly to a manager in IT and work closely with a team throughout the country.
  • Provides direct user support by responding to inquiries, troubleshooting and resolving problems for all firm-supported software and hardware and ensures that all phases of support are properly coordinated, monitored, logged, tracked and resolved.
  • Continually maintains and expands strong working knowledge of current firm-supported and future technologies to provide technically accurate solutions to users.
  • Researches, evaluates and provides input on software products as requested and participates in departmental project teams and task forces designed to streamline workflow and/or resolve issues; assists with various firm and/or departmental projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Will have the opportunity to work on special IT projects and become a subject matter expert in various technologies


  • 2+ years of related desktop support experience in a professional services organization; preferably law firm.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve first and second level desktop, laptop, and smart phone technical problems with little supervision
  • Thorough knowledge of computer software, including but not limited to, the Microsoft Suite of products, graphics, databases, electronic mail, calendaring, document management systems and general office productivity tools in a Windows environment
  • Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills required and ability to interact effectively and professionally with all learning styles, personality types and levels of management, staff and a variety of external entities including clients and prospective clients of the firm.
