Our client, a government organization, is looking for tech savvy library professionals to join their library department as a Library Technician in their Washington, D.C. office. Qualified candidates will have prior library experience and excellent cataloging skills.
Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Performing data entry using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Assist in evaluating and replacing broken URLS in library's ILS
  • Digitizing acquisition files, consolidating and de-duplicating folders
  • Scan, upload, and assign basic metadata information to documents
  • Updating databases using various library software as required
  • Contacting vendors to cancel magazine subscriptions
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned

Qualified Candidates will possess the following:
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Previous professional library experience preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SharePoint, Innovative ILS, Sierra preferred
