Special Counsel Minneapolis has an immediate need for self-starting legal assistants with experience in complex litigation. If you have experience supporting multiple attorneys in litigation, can work independently, and act with tact and good judgment, we want to hear from you!
Duties of this direct hire Legal Assistant job include:
- Support growing law firm's partners in delivery of legal services, including correspondence, pleadings, and discovery
- Assist attorneys in preparation for hearings, depositions, and trials
- Manage attorneys' calendars and monitor litigation deadlines to ensure all deadlines are met
- Provide general administrative support for attorneys; duties including: organizing files, transcribing dictation, preparing correspondence, entering billing records, preparing expense reports
- Perform legal research
You are a perfect fit if you have the following skills and qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting litigation attorneys required
- Experience e-filing documents in both federal and state courts
- Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Strong computer and word processing skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word (including "styles" features)
