A law firm in Manhattan is seeking a litigation legal secretary who is thoroughly familiar with all procedural aspects of litigating a case in the various courts throughout the metropolitan area. As a Legal Secretary you must have excellent computer skills and proficiency with Word, Outlook and all Windows applications. All legal secretary applicants must have experience with dictation. The ability to utilize a case management system is also necessary. Excellent organizational skills as well as self-starter qualities are required.
All Legal Secretary applicants must have excellent skills in the following :
•Court Litigation Rules and Procedure
•Client contact
•Inter-Office and Insurance company communication familiarity
•Preparation of all necessary litigation documents from inception to conclusion of lawsuit including Pre-Calendar ,Note of Issue and Trial Preparation documents.
•Deposition Scheduling
•Desk Organization skills.
•Office calendar management
All Legal Secretary applicants must have excellent and proven:
•Word processing skills
•Extensive knowledge of Word, Outlook and Windows applications
•Email applications
•Case management software familiarity (smart advocate or other experience)

- At least 2 years of recent experience as a Litigation Legal Secretary at a law firm
- Proficient with MS Office and court filings
- Must be flexible for overtime
