A busy litigation firm in Manhattan is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to add to their team.  They deal with a wide spectrum of issues ranging from intellectual property, toxic tort matters, insurance/reinsurance, commercial disputes, and more.  They have locations nationally. Qualifications

  • 3+ years litigation paralegal experience in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with pleadings, drafting correspondence, and e-filing
  • Must be familiar with NY court filing (additional experience in NJ court filing is a plus)
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management systems
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical
  • Clear and effective communication skills both orally and in writing
  • Must be able to multitask and successfully manage a variety of demands daily
  • Must be able to work independently and be proactive

 
Responsibilities

  • Assist in trial preparation
  • Search and retrieve information from court-related databases as well as other online sources of case information
  • Manage documents and organize case files
  • Court filings
