Litigation Paralegal – The Special Counsel Dallas, TX office currently has a need for a litigation paralegal to assist with litigation and corporate transactional matters. Candidates MUST have 3-5 years of Texas experience. Ideal experience will be in preserving evidence and preparing for trials including: deposition summaries, medical reviews and summaries.
• Generate case summaries
• Legal and case research
• Document reviews for discovery requirements
• Maintain legal database
• Summarize and report on case activity
• Management of litigation files, including correspondence, pleading, discovery and data
• Maintain up to date knowledge of applicable government regulations through governmental databases
• Facilitate document management program and litigation holds
• Drafting discovery, basic motions, correspondence and subpoenas
• Preparing case timelines
• Case summarization and trial preparation
• Bachelor’s Degree is required for the position, as well as a Paralegal certificate
• 3-5+ years’ Texas experience with a law firm or an in-house legal department
• Organizational and professional communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
