A Temporary Part-Time Litigation Legal Assistant position (flexible, 10 - 20 hours per week) is immediately available through Special Counsel for a boutique firm in the East Valley! The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in personal injury litigation. Assignment term is currently indefinite.
 
Roles and responsibilities for this Part-time Legal Administrative Assistant include:

  • Draft, edit, and proof pleadings, correspondence, and other documentation as needed
  • Electronically file court documents  
  • Manage calendar, including deadlines for court dates, motions, and responses
  • Interact and correspond with clients
  • Open new matters, including all associated tasks (run conflict checks, etc.)
  • Handle all administrative duties for both attorneys, including submitting expenses, updating contacts, ensuring compliance with CLE requirements, and handling membership renewals.

 
Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a legal setting as a legal administrative assistant or legal secretary (required)
  • Significant dictation experience and experience with dictation software
  • Scheduling skills and experience
  • Strong Experience with E-filing
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships
  • Strong client-service skills
  • Excellent communications skills
