A Patent Annuity Clerk Job is currently available via Special Counsel in Chicago, Illinois. This position will work with clients in all aspects of the Patent Annuity process. Specifically, the annuity clerk handles work involved with the patent prosecution application process as it relates to patents being issued and the fees involved to keep the patents active. The firm is interested in contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire candidates.
 
Responsibilities:


  • Docketing patent and client data
  • Communicate instructions to corporate office regarding annuity payments and other requests
  • Communicate with corporate and law firm customers regarding annuities and other required information
  • Responsible for processing incoming and outgoing correspondence and monitoring deadlines in docketing database

 
Requirements:


  • One year of previous patent annuity experience is required
  • Working knowledge of IP docketing systems
  • Experience and knowledge of patents and the patent annuity process, international patent procedures and formalities
