Special Counsel is currently seeking an experienced Patent Client Portfolio Specialist for a downtown Boston law firm. They would be working closely with patent attorneys, agents and technical advisors the Patent Client Portfolio Specialist is responsible for providing high-level administrative and business support to the group.  
Duties include but are not limited to client account support; assistance with business development/marketing initiatives; management of complex and detailed calendars, often organizing meetings across groups and regions and with internal and external invitees; coordinate logistics of both internal and external meetings; arrange and coordinate complicated domestic and international travel and prepare itineraries; assist with conference registrations, organizing off-site client meetings or other external events; including catering and transportation; prepares and distribute meeting agendas and related materials for client meetings.  As needed, perform billable prosecution support to special projects.
Qualifications: 5+ years of secretarial (preferably patent) or executive assistant experience; advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); excellent spelling, proofreading and editing skills; outstanding communication skills; ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under tight deadlines and have the desire to be an essential part of a busy practice as a team player. Professional presentation and demeanor is required at all times. Candidates must be available to work overtime, as needed. The ideal candidate will have excellent phone skills, extraordinary attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
