Small Baton Rouge Law Firm acquisition sought by NOLA firm for expansion

Established New Orleans-headquartered firm with Batton Rouge branch seeking merger or acquisition of small existing Baton Rouge law firm to expand it's Baton Rouge branch. Most all litigation or business-based practice areas considered; of additional particular interest would be firms with existing practice areas of admiralty & maritime, environmental, tax, bankruptcy, aviation, energy, transactional, labor & employment, healthcare, medical malpractice, intellectual property, oil & gas, and securities. Firm not interested in family or domestic law, plaintiff personal injury, or criminal law practices at this time. Firm will consider solo practitioners or groups of up to 10 attorneys. Following conditions are mandatory for consideration:

* MUST be currently practicing in or near greater Baton Rouge area and be willing to move practice into acquiring firm's office space within a reasonable period of time.

* MUST have portable business of a financial volume to be self-supporting for compensation(s) desired.

* All attorneys must be in good standing with the LA Bar Assn.

Acquiring firm will provide benefits, office space and administrative support, along with excellent reputation association. Candidate's existing support staff may be included if desired by candidate. Overall comp plan can be tailored to individual needs. Firm prepared to act rapidly. Excellent opportunity to increase one's net income by elimination of overhead costs and addition of administrative support, enabling one to increase billable hours. Candidates will be asked to provide individual or firm resume, along with an approx. figure of 2010 receivables, 2011 YTD receivables and estimated upcoming year of receivables, as statement of portable business, which will be held in confidence.
