Are you an experienced Legal Assistant looking to work at one of the city’s top law firms?  Do you have experience supporting high level Partners and Associates? If so, this may be a great opportunity for you!
Special Counsel is working with a well-respected national firm to staff a long-term temporary legal assistant position.
 
This role could be perfect for you if you have the following experience:

  • Legal assistant experience at a large law firm;
  • Strong legal document production, editing and proofreading experience;
  • Experience with court rules and filing procedures with Federal and State courts; proficiency with filings, calendaring litigation dates, binder preparation and production and identifying, marking and creating Table of Contents and Table of Authorities;
  • Experience supporting Partner and Senior level attorneys;
  • Handling day to day client communications via phone, email and in person;
  • Managing attorney calendars, travel arrangements, time reporting and expense reports

 
Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of legal secretarial experience at a large firm;
  • High school diploma required; post high school education preferred;
  • Superior technology skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook , Elite billing system, Worksite or similar document management system;
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work OT as needed

 
Hours for this role are 8:30 AM- 5PM, with the flexibility to work overtime as required.
