Workers' Compensation Job Description

In the workplace, injuries occur every day. When they do, companies and injured employees alike turn to workers’ comp legal professionals to protect their rights.

Workers' comp law roles and responsibilities

Workers' comp legal professionals can work on behalf of employers or employees. When working for employers, they are responsible for mitigating the potential financial losses associated with incidents in the workplace. On the other hand, when working on behalf of injured employees they are charged with getting fair compensation to cover potential medical, rehabilitation and other costs.

In either case, because workers' compensation laws vary by state, these professionals must have an intimate understanding of the rules and regulations that govern the locations in which they practice.
