In her role as Legal Search Director for Special Counsel (Formerly the Esquire Group), DeAnne Brooks specializes in the direct hire placement of legal secretaries, paralegals and other support staff including accounting, litigation support and IT positions. Ms. Brooks has a unique combination of practical, academic, and legal experience that makes her an excellent resource for clients and candidates of Special Counsel.

Ms. Brooks has worked in the legal profession for over 20 years. She began her career as a legal secretary and joined the insurance industry working for the staff attorney office of Travelers Insurance Company. Ms. Brooks obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Metropolitan State University in 2004. After completing her paralegal degree, Ms. Brooks specialized in workers’ compensation litigation and joined the staff attorney office of The St. Paul. Most recently, Ms. Brooks worked as a paralegal at Lind, Jensen, Sullivan & Peterson, P.A., where she concentrated on insurance defense litigation. Ms. Brooks also spent a year as the Director of Client Relations for Pat Carl & Associates before joining The Esquire Group.
