Michael Ritch is a Senior Attorney Search Director for the Special Counsel Cleveland office. A graduate of The Ohio State University College of Law and the University of Akron, Mr. Ritch was recruited in 1999 to become the first Attorney Recruiter in Special Counsel's Cleveland office. His successes in recruiting stellar direct hire attorney candidates for law firms and corporations led to his promotion to Senior Attorney Search Director in 2002. Prior to joining Special Counsel, Mr. Ritch was a successful trial attorney, working first on the defense side on major transportation and construction cases, then on the plaintiff's side, handling large injury and civil rights cases. An active member of his community, Mr. Ritch was elected and served as Councilman for his hometown of Peninsula, has been a youth basketball coach in the Cuyahoga Falls School Program, and has been a Judge in the Ohio Mock Trial Competition.
