The Column: Volume 7, Issue 1 - February 2011
Welcome all to the New Year. We are excited as we embark on new beginnings. We wish
all of you the very best in 2011. In this issue, we have two pieces from different
sectors of our business, but ones that reiterate important points. In the first
item, Michelle Stute, an E-Marketing Specialist with our Davidson Staffing division
in California, uses her unique background to assist us in navigating the proliferated
websites devoted to recruiting. Her conclusion is that while those sites are beneficial
in some respects, there are multiple advantages to establishing a relationship with
a skilled recruiter. Next, Steve Mims, who has contributed before to this newsletter,
provides a blueprint for attorneys who seek to transition from a law firm to a corporate
legal department. Steve’s experience as a highly successful search director (and
search director manager) with many of the Fortune 500 companies as clients, facilitates
his advice-giving on these transitions.
