Happy New Year! I hope this issue finds you enjoying a prosperous 2009.
While cognizant of the current state of the market, we have chosen to address matters in a positive frame of mind. We present items from several of our talented staff directed at recent developments affecting law and legal staffing, and detailing some best practices during these unique times.
First, we have Jennifer Grossman’s article on maintaining and preserving corporate client relationships. Jennifer is the Executive Director of our Detroit-area office and the acting Executive Director of our Atlanta office. A veteran of the staffing industry, she is a former practicing attorney who joined us five years ago, and has proven to be a star performer.
Next is a piece by Jennifer Pilling and Laney Altamar, our two Regional Sales Vice Presidents, who share their expertise on E-Discovery, examining both the developments in 2008 and insight for 2009. Each has a tremendous amount of experience in E-Discovery, particularly as it relates to project staffing.
Finally, we have insight on the management of associates through this period of our changing legal landscape, in an article prepared by Lori McMaster. A former practicing attorney, Lori is a Senior Attorney Search Director in our Pittsburgh office. Having been on both sides of the desk, Lori provides us with invaluable information on how to work best with associates during lean times.
We look forward to working with you this year.
