Special Counsel seeks a Bankruptcy paralegal with five or more years of experience to join a prestigious Phoenix law firm. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and a self-starting individual.
The Paralegal will assist and support all aspects of a diverse bankruptcy and litigation practice, including complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy, corporate litigation.
Qualified candidates should: a) possess a working knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure as well as the local rules; b) possess the experience and organization skills to efficiently and effectively handle the varied responsibilities of case management and trial preparation; c) have experience drafting and analyzing legal documents, retrieving case law, statutes and the like from Westlaw Next or other internet resources, and working with discovery documents in a fast-paced team environment; d) have the skills and experience to work with electronic management of case documents, including computer-based redaction, review and processing of case documents and preparation for electronic production of documents; and e) have working knowledge of or the ability to learn e-discovery and litigation support software (includes PACER, FileSite document management tools, BestCase, Factual Research, Relativity, Casemap, Westlaw, and Trial Director).
Requisite skills include the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work product while working on multiple projects for multiple cases; strong organizational and communication skills; attention to detail; advanced knowledge of computer applications (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook); and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues.
