Special Counsel Austin is teaming with a national law firm to recruit a business immigration paralegal to join its growing Austin, Texas team!
Job Summary (basic description)
Communicate with USCIS, ICE, CBP, US Department of State, and US Department of Labor
Prepare documents and data from materials produced; and, prepare/coordinate document production and responses to requests.
Prepare job descriptions.
Assisting attorney with gathering evidence, preparing declarations and supporting documents, preparing evidence and exhibits, and complying with procedural requirements and filing deadlines for cases in the Immigration Court
Maintain calendars, provide attorney billing/invoice processing support, complete reports and enter time records and create new file and update client matter reports.
Address client case status inquiries, including steps in process remaining, processing times, and consular appointment issues.
Ability to manage client relationships for high-volume clients and complex projects under short deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency with various technology platforms
Strong organizational and project management skills
Initiative, team orientation and professionalism
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional writing skills
Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree a plus
Paralegal Certificate a Plus
