Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant

Are you a dynamic and experienced Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant interested in a full-time, permanent opportunity with a national law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL? The ideal candidate should exhibit a high attention to detail, be a team player, and demonstrate an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, organize, and maintain litigation case files
  • Create chronologies of key events and medical treatment of claimants
  • Review and create knowledge base with information from documents produced
  • Perform legal research for relevant information regarding cases
  • Assist with preparation of reports and provide status updates to clients
  • Prepare materials for hearings, trials, and depositions
  • Coordinate logistics for out of town trials
  • Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, etc.
  • Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Paralegal Certificate a plus
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant handling complex commercial litigation matters
