Compliance Specialist

Special Counsel is looking for a Compliance Specialist for our corporate client in Portland, Oregon. This is a full-time, direct hire, REMOTE position. The hours for this position are flexible, and candidates from any time zone can be considered for this position. Candidates must have experience working in compliance in a regulated industry such as medical, healthcare, oil and gas, or automotive companies.  Ideal candidates should have at least 2+ years of relevant work experience. Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily compliance activities related to various medical issues and concerns
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure company policies and procedures are compliant with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Assist executive leadership with compliance training and education programs
  • Conduct research on compliance issues as needed
  • Work with grants and perform grant writing
  • Audit and report various interactions related to the sales and marketing practices of certain medical devices  
  • Assist the legal team in the management of healthcare contracts
  •  

    Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of Compliance experience from a highly regulated industry is required
  • Understanding of ethics and compliance is required
  • Self-starter
  • Quick learner
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Business travel may be required up to 25% of the year
     
  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Juris Doctor Degree is preferred
  •  

    Salary:

  • The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $73,000 depending on experience and education
