Civil Litigation Legal Secretary

Are you a litigation secretary with defense experience interested in a full-time, permanent job opportunity in Orlando, FL? You will be responsible for drafting, formatting, and proofing correspondence and legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, etc.; maintaining department records, both physically and electronically; calendaring; coordinating court dates and appearances; scheduling meetings with witnesses and other involved parties; legal research; and other tasks as assigned. You may also be responsible for administrative duties, such as coordinating travel, phone and e-mail support, word processing, maintaining files, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized multi-tasker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with construction litigation preferred
  • E-filing experience with both State and Federal courts required
  • Three plus years’ prior experience in a legal environment, ideally at a large firm
  • Must have strong typing, transcription, and solid ability to edit and proofread legal documents
  • Experience: At least 5 years’ experience as a Litigation Legal Secretary handling complex litigation matters

    Employment Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

    Work Hours: 40 hours per week
