Contract Legal Assistant / Paralegal

Are you a legal assistant or paralegal interested in a contract job opportunity in Palo Alto, CA? You will be responsible for converting files into a new law firm system, so this will require mostly data entry, high attention to detail, and accuracy. A legal background is required for identifying, categorizing, and coding various legal documents. Experience using iManage is a big plus. You may also be responsible for administrative overflow tasks, such as scanning, distributing mail, phone and e-mail support, billing and expense report support, maintaining office supplies, and monitoring deadlines and schedules. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized self-starter, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of legal assistant / paralegal experience
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) – iManage experience is a big plus!
  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
  • Great communication skills with a helpful, no-job-too-small mindset
