Corporate Paralegal

Special Counsel is looking to hire a Corporate Paralegal for a direct hire opportunity with a busy locally based corporate client. The ideal candidate should exhibit a high attention to detail, be a team player, and demonstrate an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create organizational documents, including articles of incorporation or dissolution, stock certificates and merger agreements
  • Prepare contracts, including lease or rental agreements and closing documents
  • Create annual reports and prepare filings with the state
  • Review and create knowledge base with information from documents produced
  • Perform legal research for relevant information regarding cases
  • Perform intake and manage various contracts  from outside vendors
  • Act as point of contact with outside counsel for any litigation matters that may arise
  • Review all documents leading up to commercial real estate closings
  • Work with lenders regarding any instruments used for property transactions
  • Qualifications:

  • Strong background in Real Estate and Contracts required
  • In-House experience a plus
  • Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in LexisNexis a plus
  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Paralegal Certificate a plus
  • Experience: At least 5 years’ experience as a Paralegal handling complex corporate matters

    Employment Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

    Work Hours: 40 hours per week
