eDiscovery Project Manager

Special Counsel's Texas team is partnering with an international Am Law firm to recruit for an eDiscovery Project Manager to sit anywhere in Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing e-discovery consulting expertise and project management for legal teams and clients, providing strategic guidance, engage with vendors, and assist legal teams with the application of technology. They will also effectively communicate between the legal and IT teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage litigation support vendors engaged for outsourced projects; manage timelines; negotiate contracts and fees; review vendor invoices for accuracy and negotiate adjustments when needed; prepare data processing specifications and other vendor instructions; provide quality control of deliverables. Ensure that scope and volume of work follows original Statements of Work and ensure that changes impacting costs/budget are communicated to case teams and approved by clients.
  • Collaborate with Director to manage and lead the practice support team
  • Serve as a liaison between IT, legal teams, and eDiscovery vendors to ensure all goals are met
  • Work with Director on annual staff plan and department budget
  • Stay up to date with technology.
  • Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; certifications preferred (Relativity Certifications, ACED, PMP)
  • 5+ years of experience in eDiscovery project management; with 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • High level knowledge of the litigation process and various web-hosted litigation support applications
