Excellent organizational skills re: case and/or project management;
Organizing and maintaining litigation documents and files, i.e., discovery materials, depositions notices, deposition exhibits and summaries and trial exhibits;
Experience in analyzing and organizing litigation documents and data;
Experience in developing and implementing investigation strategies for litigation matters;
Review pleadings to track status of cases to determine deadlines;
Experience with database and litigation software packages, i.e., Relativity, LiveNote;
Experience with E-discovery and large document productions;
Experience in preparation for depositions, arbitrations and trials;
Experience with E-filing in Federal and State court;
Experience with Cite Checking and Bluebooking; a plus;
Ability to work and learn independently and meet deadlines;
Ability to interact well with attorneys, staff and clients;
Knowledge of Federal and State Court Civil Procedure Rules; and
Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
Education: Undergraduate degree and/or a paralegal certificate or undergraduate degree in Paralegal Studies.
Experience: Candidate with 5-7 years of law firm experience; experience with arbitrations and litigation preferred.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels. Ability to organize and prioritize issues and workload. The ability to work on projects independently or with little supervision. Flexibility and ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities. Exercising independent judgment and initiative.
Ability to work in deadline driven environment
