Special Counsel is looking to hire a Trusts and Estates Legal Assistant for a prestigious Chattanooga law firm. Do you enjoy jumping in and helping where law firms would need you most? If you answered yes, then this may be the opportunity for you! The ideal candidate should exhibit a high attention to detail and be comfortable working in a past paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for client workflow process.
Drafting and finalizing estate plans, petitions, and court-filings.
Document drafting, editing, and proof-reading.
Manage ancillary documents, healthcare proxies, and powers of attorneys.
Correspondence with clients and business colleagues.
Scanning and filing of electronic and paper-based documents in cloud storage.
Support attorneys with calendar management and meeting arrangements.
Maintain a proactive role in implementing firm-wide best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and projects at hand.
Able to organize and manage large amounts of files, tasks, schedules, and confidential information.
Proficiency with MS Office, especially Outlook, Word and Excel.
Self-directed and able to work without supervision to meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; numerate and literate.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
