Insurance Defense Litigation Legal Secretary


Special Counsel is looking to hire a Legal Secretary with insurance defense experience for a direct hire opportunity with a busy law firm. The ideal candidate should exhibit a high attention to detail, team player, and demonstrate an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.



  • Drafting and proofreading legal documents
  • Organize case files and documents
  • Assist with scheduling and calendaring
  • General case management
  • Communicate with outside counsel
  • E-filing
  • Legal research
  • Trial and discovery preparation


  • E-filing experience required
  • Knowledge of court rules and procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
  • Experience with insurance defense/first party property claims


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite


  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred

    Experience: Minimum 3 years of Legal Secretary with insurance defense litigation experience required.
