Insurance Defense Paralegal

Seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal. If you have this type of background or experience in defense litigation we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:

  • Draft pleadings, agreements, contracts and other legal documents and correspondence
  • Review, request and summarize medical records for discovery
  • Assist with preparing trial binders
  • Manage multiple deadlines throughout all stages of litigation
  • Review, Edit and prepare written discovery
  • Correspondence with verbal and written to clients and opposing counsel
  • Assist with electronic document productions using database management software.
  • Must have excellent skills with managing documents, exhibits, notebooks, and spreadsheets in court trials and arbitration proceedings
  • Must have good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and related computer skills and assist with billing for large client
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel, including attorneys and other paralegals and assistants, sharing information, goals, and opportunities accordingly
  • Qualifications:

  • Detail Oriented and efficient work ethic
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a high volume environment
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred, not required
  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved school preferred
  • Prior experience in litigation in a law firm is preferred
  • Excellent compensation package
