IP Legal Secretary

A Intellectual Property Legal Secretary Job is available in Chicago, Illinois courtesy of Special Counsel.  This role is a full secretarial support to three or more attorneys and/or patent agents that requires prosecution, litigation, and administration.
Job Duties Include:
Prosecution Support Duties
Advanced knowledge of patent prosecution procedures, including EFS filings on the USPTO website
Revise, format, proofread, and electronically file patent applications, amendments, extensions, Information Disclosure Statements and other filings with the USPTO
Prepare patent application figures as directed
Monitor docket reports regarding USPTO deadlines, both domestic and foreign
Organize and ensure completeness of electronic patent prosecution files/directories
Prepare status reports and update/revise tables regarding patent transactions
Upload electronic copies of USPTO filings to client’s database
Obtain copies of patents, publications, and other prior art references online
Proofread issued patents
