IP Litigation Secretary / Assistant

A leading national law firm is looking an IP litigation legal secretary / assistant for their Phoenix office! This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic team. Duties include providing legal secretarial support to attorneys within the Intellectual Property Litigation and Patent Prosecution Groups. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of USPTO rules and filing procedures. Review and edit prepared documents for accuracy, including accurate proofreading and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. College level courses/degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years Legal Secretary/Assistant experience in a law firm environment, including two years Intellectual Property patent prosecution experience, required.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to absorb training quickly and efficiently. 
  • Take initiative to improve procedures.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude towards work.
  • Work efficiently under minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to and supports the firm's standards, policies and procedures.
  • Manage a heavy IP desk, including managing calendar and planning workload.
  • Team player.
  • Complete projects under tight deadlines.
  • The right candidate will have superior technical, proofreading, spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills, will be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, have strong organizational and communication skills, and be capable of working under pressure. 

    Compensation: Min $58,000  - Max $75,0000
