Special Counsel is seeking a Senior Labor and Employment Associate to work in house at a large corporation.  A successful candidate will have at least seven years of experience in Employment law.  This position is temporary to permanent, after five months, and is a hybrid work arrangement (on site and remote).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review employment policies and procedures
  • Negotiate and draft offer letters, employee contracts, employee benefits plans, and other employee-related agreements
  • Draft and review immigration documents
  • Keep up to date on current labor and employment, immigration and related laws, rules and regulations
  • Assist with legal projects
  • Provide support to the training department
  • Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • ERISA, business immigration and labor and employment law background and experience
  • At least five years of corporate law experience
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; admitted to practice and in good standing with the New York bar
