Special Counsel is seeking an operations associate for a real estate management company in the New York metro area. The right candidate will have real estate financial analysis experience and excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail. A commercial real estate background is a plus. This is a contract position, on site.
Assist with the day-to-day lease administration and related projects
Review and analyze lease documents; abstract data in the accounting and administration system (Yardi)
Coordinate inter-company communication to assess issues and escalate as necessary
Assist with management tracking report, managing lease deadlines and compliance
Draft a variety of lease related legal notices
Support Director in all other management functions and responsibilities
Qualifications and Experience:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to multi-task, to self-start, work individually and in a team
Familiarity with commercial real estate leases and related documents, including rent rolls, tenant ledgers and arrears reports
Proficient with MS Office Suite; experience with industry standard lease administration database (preferably Yardi)
At least four years comprehensive experience in commercial real estate (or a related field)
BA or BS from a four-year college or university
