Legal Administrative Assistant

Hiring today for a Legal Administrative Assistant, courtesy of Special Counsel!  Do you have three or more years’ experience working in commercial, construction, insurance defense, or similar litigation?  Our client is a respected national firm seeking to add a detail oriented and task driven team member to assist in their Tampa office. This is a full-time permanent position.

 

You will be expected to be highly familiar with local and state court rules, as well as federal and state filing and e-filing.

 

You will be responsible for

  • Drafting, formatting, and proofreading correspondence and some legal documents;
  • Filing and e-filing in state and federal courts;
  • Submitting new business intake and conflicts checks;
  • Assisting with trial preparation
  • Managing the attorney calendars;
  • Scheduling travel, depositions, and meetings.
  • You will also be responsible for administrative tasks, including attorney time entry, routing incoming mail, coordinating teleconferences and meetings, monitoring deadlines and schedules; and more!
  •  

    Qualifications:

     

  • Three or more years’ experience in a law firm
  • Trial experience and preparation is preferred
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word skills and strong Filesite skills
  • Possess intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Background using an electronic document management system
  •
