Legal Administrative Assistant

Special Counsel is currently seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to assist the legal team of a mortgage company. This is a temp-to-hire, full time position. 

Duties and Qualifications:

Responsible for providing administrative support and assistance on various day-to-day duties and special projects for Director, Portfolio Management.

  • Appointment scheduling, conference calls, meeting set-up, correspondence preparation.
  • Record and track document requests
  • High school diploma required; some college education preferred
  • Some mortgage servicing experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and be self-reliant on projects
  • MUST be tech-savvy - Advanced level knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. (Must be able to use VLOOKUP, create pivot tables and change PowerPoint templates.)
  • Proficient in Outlook 
  • Detail-oriented and accurate
  • Able to work in fast-paced, stressful environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Personal integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality a must
  • Compensation commensurate with experience
  • Position will start out remote, but candidates must be based in the AUSTIN area as there are plans to return to office when safe to do so.
