Legal Assistant

Special Counsel is looking to hire a Legal Assistant for a direct hire opportunity with a great law firm. The ideal candidate should exhibit a high attention to detail, be a team player, and demonstrate an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and revising legal correspondence and pleadings
  • E-File and E-Service
  • Scheduling of client meetings and case events
  • Assist with calendaring with direction from paralegal and attorney
  • Assist with billing and client invoices
  • Maintain electronic files
  • Run conflict checks
  • Perform legal research for relevant case law
  • Other duties as assigned
  •  

     

    Qualifications:

  • Personal injury experience preferred
  • Litigation experience is a plus
  • Experience using management systems is a plus.
  •  

    Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  •  

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree preferred
  •  

    Experience: At least 2 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant

     

    Employment Type: Full-time; Permanent

     

    Work Hours: 40 hours per week
