Are you an experienced legal assistant interested in permanent opportunities in West Florida? Special Counsel is seeking qualified candidates for a Legal Assistant position in Panama City, FL. Candidates with personal injury and/ or insurance defense experience are strongly encouraged to apply!

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of legal experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Highly professional demeanor and a positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Responsibilities:

  • Maintain attorney calendars by denoting due dates for answers, depositions and other pleadings, hearings, trial calendars, etc.
  • File documents through the FL e-filing portal
  • Draft legal documents and client correspondence
  • Complete receptionist duties including answering phones, collecting/ distributing mail, coordinating deliveries, and copying/ scanning documents
  • Other tasks as assigned
  • Salary:

  • Up to $55k, commensurate with experience
