Legal Assistant

Are you an experienced legal assistant with personal injury experience interested in a full-time, permanent job opportunity in Los Angeles, CA? You will be responsible for drafting and proofreading legal documents and correspondence, including TOCs and TOAs, closing briefs, correspondence, etc.; transcription from handwritten documents; filing and e-filing in state courts; calendar management; and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with a proactive attitude, someone who can handle a busy desk without a lot of guidance or handholding. Are you someone who exhibits high attention to detail and the ability to constantly reprioritize an ever-shifting workload on the fly? This is a prominent law firm within the realm of personal injury and trial cases, so this is an excellent opportunity to learn from and support the best.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of personal injury legal secretary experience
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and especially PowerPoint)
  • Solid understanding of medical issues and experience assisting with complex PI and liability claims
  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Spanish a plus
