Legal Assistant

Are you an experienced legal assistant with ample trust and estate planning experience interested in a permanent, full-time job opportunity in Newport Beach, CA?

This position offers a hybrid remote schedule (4 days in-office, 1 day remote), competitive salary, a robust benefits package, and plenty of room for growth. Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects the trust and estate administration process
  • Handling certain administrative tasks such as working on judicial counsel forms, filing pleadings, trust administration, releases, and accounts, etc.
  • Drafting, formatting, and reviewing legal documents and correspondence, including inventories, asset allocation agreements, Judicial Council forms, asset transfer documents, probate pleadings, fiduciary reports, grant deeds, trust transfer deeds, and supporting documentation as needed
  • Organizing and analyzing asset information, assisting with the valuation of assets and strategizing proper allocation to subtrusts, acting as a liaison between banks and brokerage, and assisting with Estate and Gift Tax return prep  
  •  

    Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of trust & estates legal assistant or paralegal experience preferred
  • Must be familiar with local court rules and procedures
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail; must thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
