Special Counsel is currently recruiting a Temp-to-Hire Legal Office Manager for a company in downtown Cleveland. The Legal Office Manager, will be responsible for the supervision of the legal secretary staff and primary support for Deputy General Manager of Legal Affairs.
Preparing, processing and maintaining legal office files and records
Supervising the legal secretary staff
Coordinates office clerical workload and deadlines for attorneys
Processes incoming telephone calls
Provides information, handles complaints
Directs calls to appropriate staff
Receives and processes mail
Develops and implements office procedures
Prepares and processes expenditure vouchers
Assist with preparation and implementation of budget
Assists with personnel functions such as testing, training and performance evaluations
Maintains departments’ personnel records
Prepares and supervises preparation of case materials for court
Coordinates travel arrangements
Takes and transcribes dictation in the preparation of correspondence and legal papers including briefs, opinions, proceedings, orders, complaints, decisions, contracts, ordinances, resolutions, commitments, affidavits, etc.
Handles a variety of responsible administrative assignments
Sets up and maintains filing systems
Types reports and statements
Keeps confidential files
