Legal Practice Specialist

This position is located in the New York office. 5 days a week in-office. 

The Legal Support Services department provides lawyers with high-level practice group support and is involved in the day-to-day management of clients and matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years’ administrative and clerical experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Highly efficient, organized polished professional
  • Possess strong attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with people 
  • Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to successfully work both in a team environment and independently 
  • Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information
  • Identify and resolve problems as necessary and appropriate 

  • Preferred Requirements:

  • College degree
  • 5 years' administrative and clerical experience in a law firm or professional services environment 

  • Duties: 

    Responsibilities will include a broad range of administrative duties to include preparing, editing, and proofreading a variety of documents, heavy calendar maintenance, and scheduling internal and client meetings. 

    Candidate will also be responsible for time entry, tracking WIP and A/R, reviewing and editing pre-bills for submission to accounting, coordinating complex domestic/international travel arrangements, and processing travel reimbursements.

    Candidate will exercise judgment in delegating administrative tasks to appropriate firm resources and maintain responsibility for all work and ensure that same is completed on time and is a quality work product. Candidate will provide high-level client support and interact with clients on an ongoing basis.
