Legal Secretary

Are you a legal secretary or legal administrative assistant in South Florida who is on the market for new opportunities? Special Counsel is seeking qualified candidates for a temporary Legal Secretary position in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is a 3 month contract role with the possibility of permanent hire. 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working for a civil litigation firm 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Highly professional demeanor and a positive attitude
  • Ability to interact with clients and court personnel
  • Responsibilities:

  • File documents through the FL e-filing portal
  • Draft legal documents and client correspondence
  • Receptionist duties including answering phones, collecting/ distributing mail, coordinating deliveries, and copying/ scanning documents
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining attorney calendars
  • Other tasks as assigned
