Special Counsel is seeking a Litigation Assistant who love an opportunity to work with a very well-liked and well-known law office in Los Angeles, California. If you are creative, smart and are imaginative then the following opportunity may suit you!

Responsibilities:

  • Complex legal assistant activities of high confidentially that may be sensitive which requires diplomacy and discretion
  • Draft, edit and proofread letters, legal documents and memos
  • Use of relevant document management system when organizing and maintaining all correspondence and documents, coordinating entering, editing, tracking daily time for timekeepers including preparing monthly bills and preparing check requests and expense reports
  • Coordinate with Global Shared Business Services, coordinate logistics and meetings, manage emails, and client contact lists
  • Manage physical and electronic files of intake, retention, retrieval and transfer of records as well as running critical document checks to ensure all files have been appropriately saved
  •  

    Experience:

  • Experience with bankruptcy
  • Significant experience in a similar role with a medium-large law or professional services firm, experience working for senior lawyers and partners
  • Experience with Elite, Legal Key, document management system and/or comparable software and conference room booking, travel agency programs
  •  

    Qualifications:

  • Can accurately complete, in a timely manner all high level administrative and assistant work
  • Typing speed of 65+ wpm
  • Commitment to providing the highest quality of client service
  •  

    Skills:

  • Expert at Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong attention to grammar and spelling
  • Self-driven, proactive individual who has strong organizational and time management skills
  • Exemplary oral and written communication with excellent client customer service skills
  • Proficient in problem solving
  •  

    Working Hours:

  • Onsite
  • Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 5:30 pm
  •  

    Compensation:

  • $85,000 - $90,000
