Special Counsel is currently seeking an experienced legal assistant to join our client in downtown Portland.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment and has a strong understanding of court rules and procedures in Oregon and Washington. They will join a boutique firm with a sterling reputation in representing individual, corporate, governmental, and insurance clients on a local an international scale. Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys in preparing court documents, correspondence, contracts, and briefs as well as tracking case developments
  • Ensure timely processing of all legal documents
  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and ensure adherence to case deadlines
  • Process and maintain client, administrative and related files
  • Conduct legal research and information gathering
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills with clients, attorneys agencies and associated parties
  • Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience in civil litigation
  • Experience with OR and WA filings

  • Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5pm (with flexibility)
  • In-office / remote hybrid
