Litigation Paralegal

Job opening in the Chicago Loop for a Litigation Paralegal, courtesy of Special Counsel.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of evidence, discovery requests, and basic pleadings. This candidate should also feel comfortable communicating with clients, attorneys, and court staff on a daily basis. It is crucial that a person in this position be flexible and organized enough to work on daily priorities without forgetting longer term priorities on each case that must also be completed so that each case is pushed forward in a timely manner.



•Assist in all aspects of discovery including sending our written discovery requests, collection of evidence and documents, interrogatory responses, business record subpoenas, and requests for admissions

•Review and draft routine legal documents

•Keep clients up to date and informed about the progress of the case and any information needed from them

•Create and maintain case files

•Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders



•2+ years experience in a law firm setting

•Bachelor's or Associates degree

•Paralegal certificate (preferred) 

•Compensation depends on experience.
