Litigation Paralegal with IP

Special Counsel's prestegious downtown client (who is remote now) is looking for a senior litigation paralegal.  If you want to work with large class action cases, understand e-discovery and would like to dabble in Patent Litigation this could be the right job for you.  This position is highly compensated.    To hear more please send your resume to Pittsburgh@specialcousnel.com

Essential Functions

Complex Litigation/IP Litigation:

•          Prior experience with Intellectual Property litigation cases a plus;

•          Excellent organizational skills with regards to case and/or project management;

•          Familiarity with databases and litigation software packages, i.e. Relativity;

•          Familiarity with document production and trial preparation relating to complex litigation matters involving intellectual property claims preferred;

•          Familiarity with obtaining, reviewing and indexing legal records and documents for litigation matters;

•          Experience with organizing and maintaining discovery files, noticing depositions, organizing, maintaining and preparing deposition materials, exhibits and summaries;

•          Ability to efile in Federal Court(s);

•          Familiarity with preparing case materials for experts and witnesses;

•          Ability to assist attorneys in preparing correspondence, documents and pleadings:

•          Experience with trial preparation and attending trial;

•          Ability to work and learn independently and meet deadlines;

•          Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules;

•          Excellent writing and proofreading skills; and

•          Experience in appellate matters, cite checking and blue booking skills, a plus.

 

Skills:  Excellent organizational skills.  Must be extremely detail oriented.  Effective oral and written skills.  Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.  Knowledge of patent searching databases a plus.  Knowledge of the Dialog database a plus.  Litigation experience a must.
