This is a very visible position requiring a highly polished, professional demeanor and a solid understanding of the importance of confidentiality and being discreet. You will be responsible for handling heavy scheduling; drafting, formatting, and revising correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, discovery shells, motions, TOCs, TOAs, etc.; filing and e-filing in state and federal courts; serving discovery documents and other eDiscovery duties, including working with eDiscovery vendors; calendaring; trial prep; legal research; and more! You will be expected to not let anything fall through the cracks, including following up on meeting action items, heavy deadline and calendar management,We are looking for someone who is highly proactive and pleasant with excellent time management skills. This position requires the following:
Prior experience with a large to medium size law firm.
A bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
Experience with electronic and hard copy filings.
Strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Must be flexible, highly organized, and comfortable working independently while successfully managing conflicting priorities.
Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with a diverse audience that includes attorneys, clients, staff and vendors.
Knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure and Federals Rules of Civil Procedure.
Ability to identify/analyze problems and challenges and to recommend/implement solutions.
Ability to maintain and nurture a positive attitude and workplace environment.
